Wiles Hill-Highland Park Neighborhood Association

Spring is in the air and if you are like me you are getting into Spring Cleaning!

I am organizing the SECOND ANNUAL Neighborhood Yard Sale Day, in conjunction with the Blue and Gold Mine Sale, the morning of Saturday May 25th. If you are interested in participating in the sale, please email me (eikler@yahoo.com) with the following information :

Phone number
General description of what you will be selling
(ex: kids clothes, furniture, electronics, etc…)–You can email
this stuff closer to the sale

All participating “yards” will be put on a yard sale map.

ALSO THIS YEAR, if folks are interested, I may try to find a space where those who want to sell things, but don’t want to have a whole yard sale can gather and sell “out of their trunk”. It will be a common space in parking lot where you can set up a table and have a little sale. This location will be put on the map as well, of course. PLEASE LET ME KNOW if you are interested in this option.

Happy Spring Cleaning!

This is an important meeting part of which will consider the request for “conditional use” of property in the area immediately bordering the Wiles Hill neighborhood. This meeting is open to the public. There is an opportunity to voice questions and comments. Comments best received are brief and informed.

Without you, it’s not a complete neighborhood, is it?

Regular Meeting Rescheduled

January 16th, 2013

The regular meeting of the Wiles Hill Highland Park Neighborhood Association has been rescheduled. The WHHPNA will hold it’s next regular meeting on Wed., Jan. 23 at 7pm with our regular 6:30pm social.

As many of you are aware, WVU has purchased about 35 parcels of real estate in Sunnyside.  This purchase is for the development of student housing and related services to include retail.

Do you have questions about this development and it’s impact to our neighborhood and quality life?

At our November meeting there will be representatives from both the University and the developer.  They will be discussing the development of this real estate and possibly the property at Falling Run as well.  This will be an excellent opportunity to learn the plan first hand and to ask questions.

Please plan on attending this most important meeting on Wednesday, November 14th at 7:00 pm at the Wiles Hill Sr. / Community Center.

WHHPNA Meeting Date Change

November 7th, 2012

The location and time for the meeting is the same: Wiles Hill Community Center at 7 pm. There is always a social beginning at 6:30 pm.

Tell your neighbors about this change. See you there.
