Several members of our community worked for several hours on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16 to collect more than 40 bags trash, several discarded appliances, a large amount of construction debris and discarded lawn furniture. The City of Morgantown through Terry Hough provided a dump truck for the weekend and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection through Scott Lemons provided trash bags and gloves. The presentation Nadine Kelly gave during tonight’s city council meeting was INCREDIBLE! She was helped by a group of neighborhood children who showed their artwork about the neighborhood the love. It took the Council chambers by storm! What great work by Nadine and those helping her. It was great viewing on Comcast channel 15. If you missed it live on Channel 15, check back for the numerous replays. This is just another example of the great neighborhood we are.

Wow!!!
So much wonderful change for our city and our neighborhood! As you are no doubt aware, there have been several changes to the WHHPNA Board of Directors. These changes have all been implemented and the transition has been very positive with all working on their new responsibilities.
The Wiles Hill and Highland Park Neighborhood Association would like to welcome the newest Board member, Margaret Strout. Margaret was elected as Vice President of the Association at Wednesday’s meeting. Margarat fills the position left vacant by Richard Dumas, who has completed his transition from Vice President to President of the Association. The change in WHHPNA Presidency took place after Wes Nugent’s election to Morgantown City Council and transition from the WHHPNA presidency.
We are very proud and supportive of our new Board members, Margaratt and Richard. Let’s support them by volunteering and taking part in our Association.
Also, congratualations to Wes on his election to City Council. You have, as you have had in the past, our support and trust. Way to go, Wes! You’ve worked hard to preserve and improve Wiles Hill and Highland Park. Now, you can do the same for Morgantown.
